MERED has introduced Abu Dhabi’s first floating sales gallery on Al Reem Island, offering buyers an immersive introduction to its upcoming waterfront development, Riviera Residences. Located directly beside the project site, the gallery is designed to give potential buyers a closer look at the project’s Mediterranean-inspired concept and waterfront lifestyle.

Riviera Residences is planned across two prime plots covering more than 23,400 square metres on Al Reem Island. The development is being designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, with landscape design by Michel Desvigne Paysagiste. It is expected to feature more than 400 apartments and 11 villas, including sky villas, bay villas and a penthouse.

The project will also include landscaped gardens and a waterfront promenade featuring cafés, boutique retail and dining destinations. Its design combines Mediterranean influences with elements inspired by Abu Dhabi, creating a luxury residential environment focused strongly on its waterfront setting.

The floating sales gallery reflects this vision through interiors that blend Mediterranean and Emirati design. MERED says the concept is intended to allow prospective buyers to experience the character of Riviera Residences before the development is completed.

The launch comes as Abu Dhabi continues to attract strong interest from property investors. According to the report, the emirate recorded a 160% increase in real estate transaction value during Q1 2026, while real estate foreign direct investment reached around AED 8 billion during the quarter. Investors from 99 nationalities contributed to the FDI performance.

Construction at Riviera Residences is also progressing, with MERED reporting that more than 60% of enabling works had been completed. With its prime Al Reem Island location, distinctive waterfront architecture and premium residential offering, Riviera Residences is positioned to add another high-end development to Abu Dhabi’s growing luxury property market.
