Fairmont The Palm in Dubai has confirmed that the luxury hotel remains fully operational following an incident in which debris fell in a nearby car park on February 28, 2026. The incident caused a small fire and limited exterior damage, but hotel guest areas and normal operations were not affected.

According to Accor, the hotel’s management company, emergency teams responded quickly in coordination with Dubai Civil Defence and local authorities. Four people in the parking area sustained injuries and were taken to medical facilities, while no hotel guests or team members were reported injured.

Hotel management said that safety and security remain the top priorities and that the property is continuing to monitor developments closely while maintaining established precautionary measures. The swift emergency response helped contain the fire and secure the affected area.

Despite the incident, Fairmont The Palm has continued welcoming guests and operating its services as usual. Visitors reported that the hotel remained busy and that they felt comfortable returning to the property after the incident.

Accor also introduced flexible cancellation and booking modification options for guests directly affected by the wider regional situation. The measures were designed to provide additional flexibility to eligible travellers whose plans were impacted.
