Sharjah’s flagship community, Aljada, has officially introduced a new paid parking system, bringing smarter and more efficient parking management to residents and visitors. The system, launched in partnership with Parkin and Arada, uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, allowing drivers to enter and exit parking areas without collecting paper tickets or using physical barriers.
The paid parking service covers selected on-street, off-street, and retail parking locations across Aljada. On-street parking along East Boulevard operates 24 hours a day, while off-street parking areas are available during designated hours. Visitors to retail destinations such as The Boulevard, Tiraz, and Misk can enjoy a limited period of free parking before standard charges apply.
Residents will continue to use the parking spaces allocated in their property agreements, while any additional parking requirements will be managed under the new paid parking system. Seasonal parking subscriptions are also available through Parkin’s digital platform, making it easier for regular users to manage their parking needs.
The rollout is part of Aljada’s ongoing development as one of Sharjah’s fastest-growing mixed-use communities. As the number of residents, businesses, students, and visitors continues to increase, the new smart parking solution aims to improve parking availability, reduce congestion, and create a more convenient experience for everyone.
With advanced digital technology and a ticketless payment process, the initiative reflects the UAE’s broader vision of adopting smart city solutions. As Aljada expands in the coming years, the new parking infrastructure is expected to support the community’s growth while offering a seamless and efficient parking experience.
