Young Emiratis are playing an increasingly important role in Sharjah\u2019s real estate sector, with more than 5,300 nationals aged between 18 and 35 investing a combined Dh4.3 billion in the emirate\u2019s property market as of August 2026. The figures, released by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, highlight the growing interest of younger UAE nationals in property ownership and long-term asset building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the data, 5,314 young Emirati investors were involved in transactions covering 7,052 properties across Sharjah. The figures point to a growing investment culture among younger generations, as more Emiratis view real estate as an important component of wealth creation and financial planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investment activity also shows a relatively balanced participation between male and female investors. Male investors accounted for 3,162 participants, while female investors represented 2,152. In terms of properties traded, males were involved in 4,325 properties compared with 2,727 properties for females.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Male investors accounted for approximately Dh2.8 billion, or 64.6 per cent of the total investment value, while female investors contributed around Dh1.5 billion, representing 35.4 per cent. This participation demonstrates that property investment is becoming increasingly relevant among young Emiratis across both genders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The figures were announced in connection with International Youth Day, underlining the contribution of young nationals to Sharjah\u2019s real estate market. Officials said the investment activity reflects greater awareness among Emirati youth about the importance of building sustainable assets and participating in the emirate\u2019s economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Saud Al Khayyal, chairman of the Youth Council at the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, described the figures as evidence of a growing investment culture among young Emiratis. Rather than representing property transactions alone, the data indicates a broader shift toward long-term asset ownership and financial awareness among the younger generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sharjah\u2019s continued development, combined with its evolving real estate environment, is helping create opportunities for both established and emerging investors. The strong participation of Emirati youth could further support the emirate\u2019s property sector while encouraging a new generation of nationals to take a more active role in the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With billions of dirhams already invested by young Emiratis, Sharjah\u2019s property market is demonstrating that younger investors are becoming an important force in the UAE\u2019s real estate landscape.
